Inauguration of incentive program in Monirampur, Jessore

Due to the agriculture friendly policies of the government, the amount of subsidy in crop cultivation is constant, as a result the agricultural production of the country is increasing. As per announcement of Hon'ble Prime Minister every inch of land should be brought under crop cultivation. The government's agriculture policy will shift from commercial agriculture now to smart agriculture by 2041. For us to become a smart nation, crop production must not only be increased, but also safer. Also we have to get used to nutritious food. Honorable Minister of State for Rural Development and Cooperatives Swapan Bhattacharya said these things while inaugurating the Rabi season incentive program at the Battala area of Jessore's Manirampur Upazila Parishad on the morning of October 19. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Zakir Hossain presided over the event. Upazila Agriculture Officer Agriculturist Rituraj Sarkar delivered the welcome address.


                                      In 2023-24 financial year, mustard, wheat, maize, lentil, sunflower and winter onion seeds and chemical fertilizers will be distributed among 43 thousand 950 small and marginal farmers in Jessore district under the Rabi season incentive program, according to the sources of the District Agriculture Extension Directorate. In this, the seeds and fertilizers of these crops will be distributed among six thousand four hundred and five farmers in Manirampur upazila. Manirampur Upazila Agriculture Officer said that the work of distributing the goods of the incentive program is ongoing. These incentive seeds and fertilizers will be distributed in 17 unions and 1 municipality of the upazila. Municipal Mayor Alhaj Principal Kazi Mahmudul Hasan, Upazila Female Vice Chairman Kazi Joli Akhtar, Bhojgati and Dhakuria Union Parishad Chairman along with upazila government officials, print and electronic media journalists and farmers were present in the event.
