Under the management of Agriculture Extension Department, Sripur, Magura, on October 28 at 11 am, a discussion meeting was held with the farmers for the purpose of distribution of summer onion materials and increase in production of oil crops through combine harvesters under the incentive program for Kharif season in the fiscal year 2022-23. Member of Parliament for Magura-1 Constituency Adv. Saifuzzaman Shikhar was present as the chief guest.
At this time, he said that the present government, which is friendly to agriculture, has taken various steps to improve the fortunes of farmers. Samalaya Chazabad is agricultural cooperative farming. As a result, if the same crop can be planted together in the same field, the farmer will benefit. He said that every inch of land announced by the Hon'ble Prime Minister will be put to good use through coordination, the agricultural mechanization program of the government will be successfully implemented and the farmers will benefit financially.
In the speech of the honored guest at the event, DA Magura deputy director agriculturist Sufi Md. Rafikuzzaman said that farming in Samalaya is farming through mechanization. This is accomplished through mechanization of agriculture from planting to harvesting, thereby reducing cost of crop production and benefiting farmers.
Sreepur Upajella Executive Officer Mocha Mumtaz Mahal also spoke on the occasion, General Secretary of Upazila Awami League Humaunur Rashid Muhit. Upazila Agriculture Officer Agriculturist Salma Jahan Nipa gave the welcome speech. More than 500 farmers/agriculturists including government officials, print and electronic media journalists were present in the harvest and exchange meeting.
